Lyle
Bengal Tiger
Jungle Eyes Mascot!

(Born In 1992)

Hmmm, wonder what Lyle Lovett would think of having a Big Kitty named after him? He has been at Jungle Eyes for several years. Lyle is a mild mannered, very laid back cat! Nothing bothers him and his laid back personality is really cool. He is one of the biggest Bengal's that we know of, weighing approximately 700 lbs. This is the first photo of him we took years ago. It has been used over & over for merchandise, paintings, graphics and even the eyes on our home page came from this photo. Lyle's brilliant markings are breath taking to see. In the winter months when his facial hair thickens around his face it's hard to take your eyes off of him. We are very fond of Lyle.

Here he is waking up from one of his many cat-naps in the middle of a Big Yawn. Lyle loves the water and has a habit of using his tub for a potty, therefore, we put a water barrel in his enclosure for him instead. Well, this huge cat manages to wiggle his rear-end and hind legs into the barrel to take a dip several times a day causing the water to over flow. Needless to say we refill his barrel a few times daily.

Jungle Eyes is in the process of constructing a new area for Tigers, and Lyle will be the first to take a swim in the small pond that will be made. This is expensive and takes several man hours so it is a very long process. Until then he is content with his living accommodations and will continue to take his routine dips along with receiving showers from us with the hose. The hose is like a toy to him because he will try to walk up to it slowly then bite at it when he thinks you aren't looking. Lyle has nabbed a few hoses in his day. Modesty is not in his nature that's for sure. He lays on his back with all fours spread out so the water will completely drench his underside too. It looks like he's smiling when he is getting his shower.

This Big Guy wants to be adopted. Please adopt the "Jungle Eyes Mascot".

Tequila Cougar
A Very Special Big Kitty!

Our lady of the sanctuary. Tequila came to us under odd conditions. Her previous owner loved her because you could tell she had never been abused, however, he developed medical problems and quit giving his cats the proper care & attention they deserved.

Tequila has been a true joy to have as a permanent resident. She sits in a begging position resting her front paws on the door while watching her food being prepared. Her favorite pass-time is to bounce her ball all over her enclosure and eat, eat, eat! Our dear Tequila is a bit over weight, however, a special happy kitty. Adopting Tequila would be a purrrfect thing to do.

Martha
Our Sweetheart

Bengal/Siberian Hybrid Tigress

Our darling Martha has been at Jungle Eyes for several years. Her tender, loving nature & pure heart makes her an easy animal to love. Though she is a Tigress & can never be trusted, her warmth will melt anyone's heart.

She came to us under horrible conditions. Martha was being bred back-to-back for monetary purposes. Her living conditions were the filthiest we have ever seen! She lived in an outside enclosure with a wood box as a house. The hay in the box was wet, black & moldy. Her cement floor was covered in feces, urine, bones & maggots. Martha's fur was so dirty her coloring was a dull gray. Once we got her to Jungle Eyes & hosed her down quite a few times, the white on her looked like gorgeous white snow.

Miss Martha would be a Tigerrrific Big Kitty for you to adopt!
